Callisto is proud to figure in the SKA newsletter issued on March 2017. Please click here to see the news.
Last month, the SKA Meeting on "Low energy cryogenic solutions for SKA" was hosted at Callisto premises in Villefranche de Lauragais (close to Toulouse) on March 7, 2017 with the support of the SKA France coordination.
Callisto is involved in the SKA project since 2012. It gathered French institutions and industries to talking about Production and Energy Management. Callisto has proposed a new approach by cooling down the receiver with a technology which would improve the Energy efficiency for the SKA Dish Array. Regarding to the Energy problematic, our Compact VLBI Receiver reduces power consumption by 20 times compared to conventional cryogenic receiver and it could be suitable for the SKA project.
