Callisto is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract by the Bundesamt für Kartographie und Geodäsie to supply QRFH Ultra Cryogenic Receiver for VLBI (Very Long Baseline Interferometry) application. BKG is responsible in Germany as a federal office for tographical basic data, cartography and geodesic reference systems.
Callisto will be present at the ESA International Workshop on Tracking, Telemetry and Command Systems for Space Applications, TTC 2016, which will be held from 13th to 16th of September at ESA/ESTEC in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Benoît Fauroux, Business Unit Manager at Callisto, will make an oral presentation “Cryo cooled feed receivers in X and Ka Band” on the 13th of September at 14:50 in session 1b (Ground System Technologies).
We are very happy to announce a successful FAT for our most recent project with Bundesamt für Kartographie und Geodäsie (BKG) to equip one of their antennas at the Wettzell site.
Callisto is pleased to announce that an important milestone has been passed at the end of 2015 for its new “Compact”, zero maintenance cryogenic receiver including the Caltech designed QRFH feed: the first light on a VLBI telescope!
Callisto is pleased to announce the successful delivery of a new cryogenic test Dewar system for testing of various types of small components including RF. This system is cryogen-free (no liquids), operates under high vacuum and uses a GM-type refrigerator (cryocooler).
The Ka Band Cryo Feed Critical Design has been accepted by ESA and Callisto will start the manufacture of this receiver early in 2016.
Callisto is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract by Morehead State University, Kentucky, USA to supply an X Band Cryo Compact Low Noise Amplifier (LNA).
