In addition to having a University degree (or equivalent) in the relevant discipline, ideal candidates shall have 5 years experience in administration and troubleshooting of networks in distributed systems. The experience shall have been made in an operational or production environment.
Candidates shall meet the following criteria:
- Experience of 24/7 operations
- Cisco network equipment and architecture , Cisco IOS, Cisco Works
- Routine protocols OSPF, BGP, RIP
- High availability network architecture and protocols eg HSRP
- Network management HP Openview, JFF,
- Satellite Communication : DVB, VSAT, Point to Point links
- IP multicast and PGM
- QOS and Traffic shaping
- WAN interfacing
- Protocol analysers, Bit error rate testers
- SOLARIS, Linux, AIX
- Languages: English (reading, written, spoken) mandatory, German and or French knowledge being considered as an asset.
- The variety of the tasks and the scope of the system to be support require a high degree of autonomy and good analytical skills.
- EU National or a current valid work permit to work in an EU country.
The position will be for an initial contract of 3 years. The employment package includes supplemental insurance package contributed to by the company (health care, retirement and disability). Salary will be negotiated depending on experience and qualifications.
