Callisto is please to announce the award of two new contracts work orders by the European Space Agency at the beginning of 2008. The contracts are concerned with the development of new cryogenic low noise amplifiers (LNAs) for satellite ground stations.
The first project aims to develop a miniature X band cryogenic LNA, which would be physically compatible with small antennas, as small as 1 metre diameter. This new product would provide an extension to Callisto's existing line of cryogenic LNA products which are intended for installation in larger antennas.
The second project involves the development of a coolable LNA module for X band operation based on MMIC technology. Both projects are being undertaken in cooperation with the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Manchester.
