Due to an expansion of its business, Callisto is seeking to recruit an additional engineer for its engineering team based in our offices in
The responsibilities of the selected candidate will typically include : undertaking research and studies in ground to satellite communications problems, developing system level designs of ground stations, definition and specification of antennas and RF circuits, simulation of communications channels, analysis of signal processing elements, preparation of engineering drawings, preparation of reports & documentation.
As a minimum the candidate should have the following qualifications and abilities:
- A high level University qualification in Electronics Engineering, which includes significant elements of the following subjects communications, radio frequency & electro-magnetics, signal processing.
- Computer literate: MS WORD, MS EXCEL
- Languages: English (reading, written, spoken) to a good level.
- Flexibility and motivation in order to work effectively in a small company environment.
- Good communications skills for both oral presentations and written output.
- Good analytical abilities, self-organisation skills and the motivation to learn new skills.
- EU National or a current valid work permit to work in an EU country.
In addition to the above, preference will be given to a candidate having experience in one or more of the following:
- Satellite Ground Systems (Antennas, LNAs, downconverters, baseband Equipment)
- Communications simulation tools (e.g. Matlab/Simulink)
- Software development
- Thermal engineering and cryogenics.
The position, which will be subject to French national employment conditions, will be for an initial contract of 18 months.
